Toys toys toys! We just moved some stuff around the store and our toys are now in a new section. Here are some plush dolls, Domo-kuns, robots, and Monster Factory dolls! We only have a few Monster Factory dolls left!

We also have Totoro plushies from the popular anime movie "My Neighbor Totoro" from Studio Ghibli. Kogepan is the depressing looking brown loaf sitting next to them, his story is that he a burnt loaf of bread who gets drunk off of drinking milk. He has a lot of cute friends tho! And the pink bear on the right is Gloomy Bear. He's dragging his owner Pitty along the ground as he walks.

こどもの日！

It is Golden Week in Japan and today is Kodomo no Hi or Children's Day. Families in Japan put out Carp windsocks call Koinobori.

We also have some new spring items for Mother's day that is coming up really soon. Grow it yourself planters!




And finally! We got in some new Hello Kitty bags and wallets along with Mimobot designer USB drives. They come in Star Wars, Domo-kun, Tokidoki and other cute characters to choose from!

So to go along with our theme of cherry blossoms, we have here some new note pads with the kanzan sakura designs on them. The bigger one on the left has the yoshino sakura design. Cute huh? We have other things around the shop with cherry blossom patterns and designs on them as well. Mainly bowls, plates and some of our accessories. Since the season is almost over, we'll be getting in more newer summer themed items soon. We're hoping for newer summer yukata!





And for spring accessories, we have new kanzashi (Japanese hair ornaments) and jewelry. They go great with not only kimono, but they also add a nice Japanese touch to any outfit.





Finally, the color trend in jewerly for this spring season is yellow. We have some of our yellow and gold jewerly for our main display.

It's spring time here in DC, and the yoshino cherry blossoms have just finished their blooming period, but the kanzan cherry trees are now in full bloom as shown here!
